Brief Description:
This interactive workshop will provide an introduction to using evaluations and evidence synthesis in government policymaking. The objectives are:
- To understand how different forms of evidence can help to answer different questions that can be asked by government policymakers.
- To understand how timely, demand-driven, equity-sensitive evidence support can be aligned:
- up to advisory and decision-making processes
- out to learning and improvement platforms.
- To understand how an evaluation system can be situated in the broader context of an evidence-support system.
Targeted Audiences:
- Government officials from national and sub-national institutions, who are directly and indirectly engaged with evaluation and public policy.
- Other evaluation stakeholders – including the civil society organizations, academia, the private sector, and partner agency staff – who are seeking to inform government officials.
