Hristijan Gjorgievski currently serves as Adviser to the Prime Minister of Macedonia on Parliamentary and Legislative Affairs. He was appointed in this position following the government formation in June 2017. Hristijan also served as the Prime Minister’s chief speech-writer for the local elections campaign, held in October and November 2017. In his current capacity, Hristijan serves as the principal contact point between the Macedonian Assembly and the government. Hristijan coordinates the communication and cooperation between the Office of the Prime Minister, ministries, and the parliamentary majority on legislative agenda priorities, and sees-through passage of individual bills, particularly passage of the urgent reform agenda in preparation for opening EU accession negotiations. Previously Hristijan spent eight years working as an international development professional focused on democratic and political development. He has some eight years’ experience providing technical assistance to legislatures, parliamentarians, political parties and civil society in the Balkans and Pakistan.
