Having witnessed the aftermath of the Bosnian war, Sasha realized that she wanted to pursue a career in international development. She started her professional journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a Project Officer for NGOs such as HELP and Norwegian People’s Aid. She then ventured into marketing, brand management and financial resource management in the private sector in India before migrating to the UN system in New York.
Sasha's most recent (and current) stint has been for the UNDP Independent Evaluation Office, where she oversees communication. By blending strategic communication, evaluative evidence and audience responsiveness, she has significantly expanded the IEO’s outreach. Innovative products developed by her have included infographic summaries, data visualizations and animated videos, which have been widely recognized within the evaluation community. With a Master’s in Public Administration, Sasha now has more than 15 years of experience in strategic communications, content development, digital engagement, coordination, project management and resource mobilization.
