Elianny Medina is an economist with a master's degree in international development focused on public policy analysis and evaluation. Within her work experience she has worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the design and implementation of poverty reduction projects, and currently works at the Social Policy Coordination Cabinet (GCPS) of the Vice-presidency of the Dominican Republic as Coordinator of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division, leading the design and implementation of evaluations for social programs implemented by the institution, the articulation of an Evidence Laboratory, and the implementation of an Integrated Social Sector Monitoring and Evaluation System. Her research interests are geared towards capacity building of government entities in the use of evaluation for the public policy formulation and implementation process.
