Mr. Keiichi Muraoka Director, ODA Evaluation Division, Minister’s Secretariat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Since 2017, he act as a vice-chair of OECD/DAC Development Cooperation Evaluation Network (EvalNet). Mr. Muraoka assumed office in his current position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in January 2015. Prior to his current position he served as Director General of Evaluation Department at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for two years. In 1980 he joined JICA and experienced various managerial positions in the agency, including Director of Donor Coordination in Planning and Evaluation Department, Director of Office of Media and Public Relations, Deputy Director General of Public Policy and Administration Department, and Director General of the Kyushu International Cooperation Center. His overseas experiences include the work of Second Secretary of the Embassy of Japan in Egypt, First Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Japan to the UN, and Resident Representative of JICA Austria Office responsible for countries in Central Europe and the Western Balkans. He was a member of the Standing Advisory Group on Technical Assistance and Cooperation at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) between 2003 and 2005, and was also a member of the Survey and Evaluation Committee on Capacity Building on Environment at the Fukuoka Prefectural Government in Japan between 2010 and 2013. Currently, he is a member of International Exchange Committee of Japan Evaluation Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (International Relations) degree from the Yokohama City University in Japan.
